- Abstract:
- Objective:To observe clinical effect of point application of Chinese medicine in treating chronic bronchitis. Methods: 80 inpatients in respiratory department of Xiping Hospital of Chinese Medicine were selected and randomized into treatment group and control group with }0 in each according to the sequence of their diagnosis and treatment. Both of the two groups were given conventional antibiotics and western medicine with cough一suppressing and phlegm一resolving effect，while the cases in the treatment group were additionally given point application with Chinese medicine. After 7 days of treatment，clinical effect of point application of Chinese medicine in treating chronic bronchitis was observed based on patients' condition and incidence. Results:Of [the 40 cases of the treatment group, 15 were remarkably effective，20 effective, 5 had no effect，the total effective rate was 87. 50%.of the 40 cases of the control group, 10 were remarkably effective, 16 effective, 14 had no effect，the total effective rate was 65. 00%.The comparison of the curative effect between the two groups had obvious statistical significance (P<0.05).Conclusion:Treating chronic bronchitis by point application with Chinese medicine can relieve the attacking symptom with obvious effect and relieve patients’ pain and reduce their treatment expenses. It is worth of clinical application.
