- To analyse and discuss the curative effect of Yixiao Futan Decoction and Buyang Huanwu Decoction in treating cerebral infarction with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Method 135 patients with cerebral infarction and type 2 diabetes mellitus admitted to our hospital from May 2015 to May 2018 were selected. All patients were given routine symptomatic medical treatment. According to random number table method, all patients were randomly divided into control group and treatment group. The experimental group was treated with Yixiao Futan Decoction, while the control group was treated with Buyang Huanwu Decoction. All patients were treated for 8 weeks. The scores of TCM syndromes of thetwo groups were recorded according to the clinical observation scale. The activities of daily living, cognitive impairment and neurological impairment were compared between the two groups. Result There were no significant differences in TCM syndrome score, neurological deficit score, cognitive impairment level and activities of daily living between the two groups before treatment ( all P >0. 05) ; TCM syndrome score, neurological deficit score, cognitive impairment level and activities of daily living of the two groups after treatment were significantly better than those before treatment ( allP < 0. 05) . The scores of TCM syndromes, neurological impairment, cognitive impairment and activities of daily living of the patients in the treatment group after treatment were significantly better than those of the control group ( all P <0. 05) . There was no significant difference in daily quality of life score between the two groups before treatment ( all P >0. 05) ; after treatment, the quality of life score of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group ( all P <0. 05) . Conclusion Yixiao Futan Decoction can effectively improve the quality of life of patients with cerebral infarction combined with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It has a significant effect and is worth popularizing in clinical practice.
