Abstract:: White hair refers to the whitening of some or all of the hair. Its pathogenesis includes genetic factors, abnormal activity of hair follicle pigment stem cells, vitamin and mineral deficiency, drugs, and some manifestations such as systemic diseases. Traditional Chinese medicine mainly discusses its mechanism based on syndrome differentiation of viscera and Qi. There is currently no specific drug in modern medicine. Although Chinese medicine has accumulated a lot of experience and medication, the stability of its efficacy is not satisfactory. For white hair, there are many challenges in terms of pathogenesis and treatment.
