Abstract:: Taohong Siwu Decoction is also called ‘ Jiawei Siwu Decoction’ . Its formula is based on the combination of prepared Rehmannia glutinosa, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Angelica sinensis and Ligusticum chuanxiong. It is made of peach kernel and safflower. There are some differences in clinical application between Siwu Decoction and Taohong Siwu Decoction in terms of efficacy indications and pharmacological effects. However, with the progress of research, the experimental research and clinical application of Taohong Siwu Decoction have a new leap forward. Therefore, on the basis of the confirmed pharmacological effects, this article summarized the modified Taoren and Honghua of Siwu Decoction were compared and analyzed from different angles by using the method of split prescription analysis in order to further explore the potential efficacy of the compound, and finally provide reference for the clinical application of Taohong Siwu Decoction.
