Based on years of his clinical practise,Bi Yufeng believes that obstinate facial paralysis is always accompanied by qi deficiency and blood stasis. And most of the treatment apply swift pricking blood therapy to invigorate channel qi and promote blood circulation. Qi and blood circulation means and needs tonifying defi- ciency,pathogentic qi out while healthy qi unimpaired. Thus,the treatment of the disease with swift pricking blood therapy has remarkable effect and is expected to provide valuable experience for the treatment of obstinate facial paralysis.
