Abstract:: Objective To provide beneficial guidance for the clinical practice by making a summary of Guo’ s academic thoughts in terms of treating breasts disease. Method To analyze and make a summary by sorting out Guo’ s published papers, masterpieces, clinical cases, and case data. Result Master Guo proposed that the breasts disease was usually caused by the liver stagnation since it was the source of the breasts lumps and conversely the disease could worsen the liver stagnation. ? Thus the treatment of breasts disease should give priority to soothing the liver while needles and prescription should be prepared according to the various syndromes. In addition, the psychological counselling was coordinated to regulate the liver qi. Conclusion The treatment of breasts disease from the liver is significnce in guiding the clinical practice and can significantly improve the clinical curative effect.
