Abstract:: Abstract：Based on the original text of Inner Canon of Huangdi and the one to thirty-five chapters of the translations of LI Zhaoguo and NI Maoxin，combined with structural grammar and cognitive metaphor theory，this paper compares and analyzes the similarities and differences between English and Chinese expressions of “Zhong +X/X+ Zhong” in syntactic structure and metaphorical meaning of traditional Chinese medicine，and its impact on style translation.It is found that the most commonly used “middle” guiding structure in Chinese highlights the positional metaphors such as “exterior and interior” in traditional Chinese medicine，and English translations are mostly expressed in prepositional structures such as “in the middle of”.The conceptual metaphors involved in the two versions show some similarities，but NI Maoxins translation tends to weaken the metaphorical meaning of traditional Chinese medicine contained in “Zhong”；LI Zhaoguos translation of “de metaphor” is less conventional，reflecting more Chinese thinking style.
